The City Championships opened in emphatic fashion on February 26, 2026, as the Pink Wave propelled Knight R3D to a decisive 12–2 victory over the Southwest Cougars 3 Gold in their first match of the tournament. From start to finish, Knight R3D controlled the game with speed, depth scoring, and relentless pressure, setting the tone for a strong championship run. 

Offensive Firepower on Full Display

Knight R3D’s offense came in waves, with multiple players delivering standout performances.
Alyan Jiwa, Brodie Olver, Parker Curley, and Zayn Afech each recorded three-point games, leading the charge offensively. Jiwa and Olver both finished with 2 goals and 1 assist, while Curley added 2 goals and 1 assist of his own. Afech matched the trio with 2 goals and 1 assist, keeping constant pressure on the Southwest defense. 

Additional scoring depth came from Spencer Monette, who netted 2 goals, and Aydin Jiwa and Finley MacDonell, who each chipped in with a goal. Bella Wallace and Hayden Galenkamp contributed key assists, showcasing the balanced attack that defined Knight R3D’s performance.
